The concert will be shot by CMT Canada for a future television special, as well as a live CD & DVD release.

Dean Brody Travels to Puerto Rico
Dean Brody is excited to announce the release of his brand new single "Roll That Barrel Out" to radio today (Monday, July 5th).

"Roll That Barrel Out was influenced by the time I've spent on the ocean here in Canada, and the Caribbean," Dean explains. "The lives of working fisherman and stories of pirates and 'rum running' fascinate me. The song was also influenced by the Jamaican folk song, 'The Banana Boat Song,' made famous by Harry Belafonte. I wanted to write a song that captured these themes and the story of Jamal just came to me."

The new video for "Roll That Barrel Out" was shot last week in Puerto Rico – and will be debuting on CMT Canada in the coming weeks. Dean's new album Trail In Life will be released in Canada on August 17th.

Ridley Bent's "Rabbit on My Wheel" Receives Rave Reviews
Ridley Bent's third album Rabbit On My Wheel, released June 15, has received rave reviews across Canada.

Bruce Leperre from the Winnipeg Free Press says:

"Stylistically, Bent's country is rooted in tradition but you'll still hear elements of pop, blues, swing and even a hint of funk. Vocally, he wraps his unique phrasing around engaging words in a unique presentation."

… and Kerry Doole from Exclaim! Magazine raves:

"This is a bright light on the oft-dull landscape of conventional Canadian country."

Jewel presents "Sweet and Wild" Deluxe Album on June 8th
Jewel’s second release on Valory Music/Open Road, SWEET AND WILD DELUXE ALBUM (in-stores June 8th), will offer fans not one – but two versions of the songs on the album. The alternate versions of the studio tracks will be acoustic in nature and will represent the songs in their original state.

“The only other difference is how I color my songs. My fundamental songwriting has not changed one bit,” Jewel says. “Now I can add weeping steel to emphasize a poignant lyric…or I can use a rolling picked banjo to bring an uplifting movement to a chorus, instead of layering another electric guitar to get some lift. To drive this point home, I decided to release a double album called “Sweet and Mild.” It's the exact same record and the exact same sequence, but it's all solo acoustic. Zero production. Just me and my guitar. These are the tracks I cut at my home studio by myself.”
