CCMA Award and two-time BCCMA Award winning artist, Madeline Merlo, has a brand new, soulful ballad, titled “Unraveling”, out across all platforms on December 28, 2018.
Merlo co-wrote the song with Cameron Bedell, and Steven Dale Jones. The track came together at a rapid pace when the three songwriters gathered in a room. As Merlo states, “Unraveling is one of the most favorite songs I’ve ever written. It shows the weakness and honesty of heartbreak and is inspired by the music I was raised on. Artists like Dolly Parton and Etta James encouraged me to write from a place of truth, even when it feels vulnerable. I’m excited to show my fans this more soulful side of me. Unraveling is about a relationship that kind of slips through your fingers and leaves you confused, without closure, and wondering if it’s too late to get back what you lost.”
Merlo is in the midst of wrapping up a busy year which saw her hit the stage for two live performances during the CCMA Awards live broadcast, tour alongside Tim Hicks in his recent Get Loud tour, and bring her incredible energy to large-scale festivals such as Boots and Hearts, The Sound of Music Festival, Country Thunder, and many more.
The song comes following the success of the pop-meets-country success single, “Neon Love”, which was Merlo’s 5th Top 15 single. Merlo currently has amassed more than 13 million streams of her hits across all streaming platforms.
