MacKenzie Porter is a Canadian actress and musician raised on a cattle and bison ranch in Medicine Hat Alberta. She now resides in Vancouver and released her debut single, “I Wish I’d Known” in October, 2012. Her second single, “Never Gonna Let You”, was co-written and produced by Carolyn Dawn Johnson. Porter was chosen as one of six acts for the inaugural Canadian Country Music Association Discovery Program in 2013. A Rising Star Award nominee at the 2013 Canadian Country Music Association Awards, MacKenzie will release her debut album in 2014.
As a Canadian singer and actress who resides from Maple Ridge, BC – from her humble beginnings singing with her band in high school, to her experience in musical theatre, she has taken every opportunity along the way to hone her musical and performance skills. Her debut single and video for, “Sinking Like a Stone” is set to be released in the near future with Open Road Recordings, with her first full length album to follow later in 2014.
