- New Album

November 5, 2013
It’s hard to believe almost 5 years have flown by since Canadians first heard the ominous drum beats of “Brothers” coming across the airwaves and now Dean Brody, arguably the biggest artist in Canadian Country Music at this moment in time is about to release his 4th album, Crop Circles, in the fall of 2013.
Dean is the current Canadian Country Music Association’s Male Vocalist of the Year and recipient of Album of the Year for 2012 and 2011 (Dirt & Trail in Life). He is heading into the 2013 CCMA Awards in mid-September with yet another 7 nominations including Male Artist of the Year once again along with the coveted Fans’ Choice Award. The first single from the new project is a fiery turn of the century love story with some classic instrumentation and epic Brody cinematic lyrics. To celebrate the release of his new single “Bounty” and his upcoming album Crop Circles, Brody is heading out on his second headline tour in Jan/Feb of 2014 after a sold-out debut headline tour last winter. In the last year Dean has had a #1 single with “Canadian Girls” (first track by a Canadian artist to go #1 on the Country Chart in 4 years), a #1 BDS Audience single with “Bob Marley”, bringing his overall top ten single count to 11 songs, two #1 videos (“Canadian Girls” & “Bob Marley”), two GOLD selling singles (“Canadian Girls” and “It’s Friday” with Great Big Sea) AND a GOLD album (Dirt). His last two albums have been JUNO nominated and in total he has received 26 CCMA award nominations since 2009. Dean was also the most played Canadian artist at country radio in 2011 and 2012 and is in great shape to earn this honour for the 3rd consecutive year.
His upcoming album Crop Circles is written or co-written entirely by Dean other than one song just as Dirt was – another reason Dean continues to be nominated and awarded for Songwriter of the Year Awards – “Brothers, “Trail in Life” and “Canadian Girls” in the past and this year has two nominations for songwriting – “Bob Marley” and “It’s Friday”.
Look for “Bounty” debuting on CMT Sept 7th and on iTunes in early September and the full album Crop Circles on November the 5th.
